Project Three

Yet another blank canvas for this brand new development. The brief was to create a cottage garden and break up the standard rectangular shape of the garden. The shed was already there and couldn’t be moved.

The three sided pergola will, when the climbers are established, give privacy and shade over the patio area. The borders are edged with local dry stone walling both curved and undulating to give a softer shape to the garden. A large, rough hewn slate creates a seat within this wall as an unusual feature.

In time the planting in conjunction with the hard landscaping will give a little bit of old Devon to this new property.
